Be Mindful

May 18, 2020

“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle and the life of the candle will not be shortened.  Happiness never decreases by being shared.” –Tony Robbins

Have you had any experience with Eastern philosophy, a yoga class, or just browse through Instagram? Then, you’ve heard the word “mindful” many times.

Mindfulness depends on you. For me, it’s being thoughtful and calm, being present, and not judging others in the world around me. Mindfulness is an ideology. Try to apply it every day.

During the past weeks, some of you have been organizing and cleaning cabinets, looking at old medicines, shampoos, lotions, gels, and other items. Do you know the ingredients or any harm they cause- be mindful? From now on when you purchase products think of any harm causing effects.

What about your food habits? Are you hungry, comforting yourself, or just indulging yourself? Do everything in moderation and be mindful of what you put in your body.

During COVID-19, be mindful of exercising. You don’t have to punish yourself. What do you really need? Perhaps a walk and not pushing yourself to a 50-mile bike ride. Be mindful of your thoughts as you walk. Rid yourself of negativity. Be gentle with yourself and be kind to others.

Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more. – Tony Robbins
