There are a number of opportunities at Downs Memorial UMC for you to share your gifts of talent and time:
OUTREACH COMMITTEE MEMBER
Develop ideas and meet with the committee every three months or as needed to reach Downs Members, the Downs Community, and surrounding areas.
Requirements:
Willing to meet with a community group yearly
Be open to new ideas for reaching Community
Willing to meet at least every 3-4 months for 1 hour, for one year
Time Commitment: 1 hour every 3-4 months, for one year

FISHES AND LOAVES SHOPPER
Shop for the Fishes & Loaves Program at the Alameda County Community Bank on Mondays.
Requirements:
Must be willing to drive your personal car to the Food Bank each Monday at 7:30 to meet with staff. Purchase, pack items and transport items back to Downs Memorial United Church and put items in the freezer, refrigerator or garage.
Licensed Car or Van
Able to lift at least 25 pounds, good physical health
Time commitment: 2 1/2 hours each Monday You determine the frequency

CLERK, FISHES AND LOAVES PROGRAM
Organize files, remove and replace files under supervision. Put names of all program participants in the computer. Create flyers for special programs (on call as needed)
Requirements: Prior experience in filing and using Excel, or on the job training
Time commitment: 1.5 hours Tuesday 10:00 am- 11:30 a.m. for 1 month or until project completed.

FISHES AND LOAVES SET UP VOLUNTEER
Help to set up the Farmer’s Market held in the Downs parking lot on the 3rd Wednesday and 3rd Friday of each month. Arrive at 8:30am. Set up tables, organize food.

Time Commitment: you determine your time commitment
